Hi my name is Jennifer. I am a sophomore at Downers Grove North High school. I love to sing, draw, and do whatever weird things come to my mind.
I love the show Veggie Tales, it so adorable!!! I play piano and I am in Concert Choir at school. Mr. Graham is my U.S. History teacher so this is a website I made for his class. Hope you enjoy it.

The area of White Pine County is mostly the Great Basin of the United States.

A HISTORY OF WHITE PINE COUNTY, NEVADA

In 1869, twelve counties existed in Nevada. These counties were: Elko, Esmeralda, Humboldt, Ormsby, Washoe, Storey, Douglas, Lincoln, Lyon, Churchill, Nye, and Lander. An act of the Legislature created White Pine County from part of Lander County and located the new county seat at the townsite of Hamilton on April 1, 1869.

The town of Hamilton suffered two mysterious fires in the middle 1880's and
Ely became the county seat.

How Ely got it's name....maybe.
